I first tasted truffle honey on cheese while waiting for a restaurant to open in Tuscany. The waiter led us to a shop outside the restaurant and asked us to sit and gave us some complimentary truffle honey on cheese. I was stunned by how this unusual mix of flavours blended together so well. Luckily its dead easy to make at home. You can buy minced truffle on Ocado or here on Amazon.
Ingredients
Half a teaspoon of minced truffle
3 tablespoons of honey
6 triangles of manchego cheese
Method
- Mix the honey and truffle in a small pot, preferably in advance to allow the truffle to marinade but it also works straight away
- Spoon over the manchego slices and serve
